GANRA is a concept focusing on the idea that you for yourself decide who you are and demonstrate it. It also conveys the message that at any circumstances, creator and the created work will merge to one being. It aims and stands for total independence. “GANRA” believes that even if works that voice the current society or help to improve it will face forced censorship and pressure, they are needed and have to break free from this situation. Therefore it addresses persons, acts and behaviors that give birth to new methods and ways of possible existence.

MOLS magazineの第二号「GANRA」が2024年1月下旬頃より日本をはじめドイツ、ヨーロッパ各国で発売予定。本誌では、“完全な自律性”をテーマに、Aun Helden、Shalva Nikvashvili、Rico Mehler、Thiago Dezan、Infinite、Jacopo Benassi、夜光虫-Noctilucaの7組に取材。
GANRAとは
自分が何者であるのかを自らが決定し、実証すること。またどのような状況においても、作者と作品が一体となり完全な自律性を目指すことを表す意味であり、現代社会を表現したもの、または社会改善が制作動機にあるイメージに対して強権的な検閲や制圧があったとしても、その状況から打破し、新しい手段を持って存在の可能性を生み出す行動や行為またはその人物のことを指します。
GANRAは、他律性が優勢にある現代の過度なコントロールから自身の想像力の限界を突破し、自らを表現することに萎縮せずに活動するためのポジティブな備えを身につけるために、わたしたちが現実の社会と向き合うためのひとつの手段として存在します。
